What We Do
At St Martin’s Nursery we believe every child has the potential to achieve their very best. Our highly qualified and nurturing team are dedicated to provide exceptional care and education, to enable young children to flourish and become valued members of our nursery family.
Following the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS), and based on the children’s interests we plan exciting, engaging and playful activities which support children in developing the prerequisites required for positive future learning outcomes. These skills can include, resilience, confidence, physical development, perseverance, independence, social and emotional well-being and communication and language.
Each week the children are given the opportunity to take part in cooking sessions, mindfulness and ‘Wiggle and Shake sessions’, letters and sounds activities, dough disco and creative and sensory activities.
Forming good relationships and communication with families are of upmost importance to us. We are a friendly and approachable team, who are always available for a chat at the beginning or end of each session. Furthermore, through use of Tapestry we can keep you involved in your child’s learning whilst they are at nursery. Tapestry enables you to see your child’s progress through photographs and observations securely online. We also encourage parents to add any photographs or observations taken at home.
